It is about 65 kms from district headquarter Dharamshala and known for Hang gliding and paragliding both ,and it serves as a landing ground for para gliders. Bir-Billing in the Dhauladhar mountain range is known as one of the finest aero sports sites in the world. Paragliding in the lap Himachal Pradesh is as easy as to step out in courtyard .There are number of flying locations over here, but the most promising is the site of Pre-World Cup Location i.e. Bir ,Billing in Baijnath sub division of District Kangra.

Day 1
Pathankot to Bir Billing , Kangra

Arrival at Pathankot and transfer to Bir/Billing , its about 140 kms travel which takes about 4 hrs to reach . visit the site and rest at leisure in hotel.

Day 2
Paragliding Tandel Flying

After breakfast joy ride from Bir ,Baijnath in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, which has previously successfully hosted the Paragliding World Cup . Overnight in hotel.

Day 3
Departure to Pathankot

After breakfast departure to Pathankot.

The Trip Cost Includes

  • Pick-up or Drop-off service from and to Airport.

  • Food all along the trip(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and a cup of coffee or tea) and accommodations during the trip in hotels with family environment

Age limit or what is required for trying this ride?

Children above age of 12 can enjoy the tandem joy ride with licensed pilot , the ride is for about half an hour till reaching the landing site .

Does the cost is including every meal and paragliding fee?

Yes , its included with MAP plan with paragliding fee.

What are the best hours to have tandem fly?

Best hours are from morning 10 AM till 2 PM when there is enough thermal to fly smoothly.
